You've made it to us. Welcome. We are glad you are here.

First, I have to say that we are probably not a blog -- in that the definition of a blog roughly is a website with short, regular (daily?!) postings. There are things I manage to do daily such as eat, sleep, spend time with my children and hubby, usually work, pray and most of the time, bathe. There are things I do every few days such as read the news, try to exercise, catch up on filing, spend quality time with my children and eat healthier. Then, there is everything else, which gets done weekly, monthly, yearly or somewhere in between all those choices. This site sadly seems to be in the "somewhere in between" category. If you subscribe and read, bless you. We aren't very frequent, but maybe we are worth it?

Kit & Kin is a site primarily dedicated to providing thought-provoking and connective information and essays on family and community. We sisters are part of a varied family including biological and adoptive  members, several ethnic and cultural heritages and geographical separations. We aren't seeking to duplicate the many wonderful sources and groups available on the internet today. Rather, we are providing a personal and interactive (you can respond to our missives) perspective.

(If you are wondering who the "we" in Kit & Kin is, please meet us in the About Us section.)
